THUG

Theological Heritage User Group

There are no THUG meetings planned at present

The Theological Heritage User Group (THUG) is a group of about 30 librarians in theological libraries from various traditions and perspectives, all of whom use the Heritage library management software system. We meet together twice a year to discuss items of mutual interest, either as a subset of the main Heritage User Group meeting or in conjunction with a meeting of the Association of British Theological and Philosophical Libraries (ABTAPL http://www.newman.ac.uk/abtapl) Membership costs £5 per annum – cheques payable to the group should be sent to the treasurer.

The main project currently being undertaken by the group, in collaboration with IS Oxford, is the production of a union catalogue on CD-ROM which is available for purchase for £500 and can be used primarily as a downloadable database for libraries currently undergoing the process of cataloguing a collection. It is hoped to develop this into a web based union catalogue. For further details please contact the chairman.
