Heritage Reader Information and SDI
The Heritage Reader Information Screen can be accessed from both the standard OPAC and Heritage Online.
Borrowers can view their current loans, the number of items they are allowed to borrow, the due dates of the items they have currently on loan, the reservations they have placed and their current position in the queue for those items (with a cancel facility if they no longer need them).

They can also access their borrowing history (which can go back some years), their fine payments and charges history and they can review the serials for which they are on the circulation lists.
SDI
Offering an SDI (selective dissemination of information) service is always highly effective in raising the profile of your library. The subject index is made available to users of Heritage Online so that they can choose all the subject areas they have a particular interest in. Heritage will then automatically update their Reader Information screen every time a new item in their chosen subject area(s) is catalogued in the library.

Library staff can also send out SDI (also known as 'current awareness') information automatically via email using the Event scheduler if they wish to be more proactive.
